Solved CISCO VPN issue on Windows 10 and Windows 8

Below are the 3 solutions you can do to resolve the Cisco VPN client 5.0.07.0440 for x64 5.0.07.0410 and x86


Solution 1.  

  • Open Registry editor regedit in Run prompt
  • Browse to the Registry Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CVirtA
  • Select the Display Name to modify, and remove the leading characters from the value data value as shown below,
For x86 machine, "@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapterto "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter
For x64 machine, "@oem8.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windowsto "Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows

Solution 2.

  • Uninstall current Cisco VPN client from your laptop/desktop & restart computer
Download and install Citrix Deterministic Network Enhancer from location  
Download DNE for 32 Bit Windows 8 and 8.1 Download
Download DNE for 64 Bit Windows 8 and 8.1 Download
After installation if require restart your machine.

Solution 3

Best and easiest way is to Download and Install Shrew Soft Inc VPN client

After installation, import CISCO PCF file and login with your VPN credentials.
